Daily Nonpareil Newspaper

I just got a chance to read yesterday's local paper in Council Bluffs. Morton Kondracke wrote an article that's on the opinion page about how HE thinks they should pass a new act called the Personal Responsibility in Food Consumption Act. This would involve taxing foods that contain sugar, etc. This article is a real fat basher!! His reasoning is, taxing those things will help the goverment recoup some of the money spent on those fat people that use up so much money on their obesity related health issues. He also suggests the insurance companies charge obese people higher premiums ( where has he been??) A real attack on obesity requires making obese people pay. It says he writes for Newspaper Enterprise Association. I think he needs to take his head out of his ***.

What a crock, but what else can we expect from nimrods?! What century is this man from? Our local news (CH.4 Sioux City) ran a story on Gastric By-pass the other night. That was a bash in itself also, basically saying we are to lazy to lose weight & gastric by-pass is an easy out! If they only knew! Carolyn
