I am out of protein powder and can't afford to get it due to all my medical bills. I want to keep eatting cookies. Since I had my TT I can't wear any pants. They don't fit me and fall down. My Doctor told me to wear maturnity pants. He has made me depressed by say'n that. I go from Lane Byrant to this. I am so down and he did'nt help me any. I wished I never had a Panni. Go for the belt Panni. You will be better off. I don't know what to do. I wanted to tell him how he made me feel but I was nice and kept my mouth shut. Lisa

What is the difference between the TT and the belt panni? Obviously if you have come far enough to have that done, you have lost a lot of weight already! Sorry your doctor made you feel so bad, but remember, he is a "man" first!!! and doesn't have a clue about women's vanity! I remember seeing a doctor just out of med school who blurted out my weight during an OB visit in front of my husband. I told him in no uncertain terms that divulging a woman's weight in front of her husband was a cardinal sin in my estimation and he needed to add that to his unwritten rules of ethics! Are you trying to tell us your present clothes no longer fit and you can't afford new ones? or are you so sore from surgery you are unable to wear pants? I don't know where you live but here in Cedar Rapids there are several Good Wills and Salvation Army stores where pants/jeans are no more than $3.38 pr..It takes a lot of time to sort through them but there are some good bargains. If your depression is due to dissatisfaction with your procedure it sounds like some advice from a professional would ease your mind. If you feel you can't talk to your doctor, there are free "ask a nurse" hotlines available as well as message boards on health websites. I used to sit back and take everything a doctor had to say at his word until my husband reminded me that I was the customer and had every right to express my opinion because the doctor was there to serve ME not the other way around!

A panni is like an anchor cut, from your breastbone down and then around your hips. This takes out your RNY scar if you have one, plus the doc pulls in the excess skin and defines your waistline more. I am assuming the belt panni and abdominoplasty are probably the same thing, although the belt lipectomy is where they go all the way around and you get a butt lift also. I had the abdominoplasty. Lisa, try wearing free flowing dresses for a while, that might help. When did you have your tt? Mine was 4 weeks ago tomorrow and I am back in jeans and sweaters, although I am still swollen and wearing a binder. Maybe even bib overalls while you are around the house, just so you don't have that feeling against your incision. Good luck with everything, hopefully as you heal you will feel better about your plstic surgery decision. Take care!! Julie

You might want to try the Sugar Free Carnation Instant Breakfast for your protein drink. It is very affordable and there is usually a coupon inside of the box to use on the next box your purchase. Mixed with skim milk, it is a resonable way to get some protein in. You can always add some Tofu to increase the amount of protein by mixing it in a blender. Tofu has no taste.
