Did anyone else have this problem?
I had a cat scan done yesterday to find out why it feels like I have a lump in my side and hurts when I bend over or try to get up or down. I have fluid between my stomach wall and my side. It is getting better. The dr. says that with the heating pad and taking it easy for a couple of more weeks, it will absorb into my tissues and clear itself up. Hope he is right. Has anyone else had a problem like this? If so, what did your dr do? BTW I am down 18 lbs as of yesterday.

Theresa, This sounds a lot like the problem I posted about over the last weekend. I noticed mine when I sneezed or coughed mostly, but also when trying to reach something on the floor or getting up from the chair. Mine was on the left side in the front. It felt like it was inside my ribs. I tried the ho****er bottle (heat) like many told me to, then called my surgeon first thing Monday morning. They told me he thought it was a pulled muscle and to keep doing what I was doing. It is much better today (Fri) but still tender. What they found on your MRI sounds much more reasonable than a pulled muscle to me since this happened in the night. I guess as long as it gets better, it doesn't matter that much, but it is nice to know. Hope you feel better soon. Elizabeth
Elizabeth ... I went to Oak Park Academy (now closed) in Nevada Iowa! Nevada has a special spot in my heart!I was just this past week noticing a "lump" at the base of my rib cage ... where the two sides come together at the bottom. It was quite tender and felt like a round BONE - hard. It doesn't move at all. But wonder if it is something similar to what you guys are describing. Weird.
