TO ANYONE WHO ...MEDICAID
Hi again Tina! I just called Dr. Glas****'s office and I was told that I should receive a call in January for a consult in February and if all goes well with insurance and pre-op testing (I have already been diagnosed with sleep apnea), I should be able to have surgery within 2-3 months following that. I hope she was telling me the truth. Happy Holidays to you and yours! Blessed Be! Sherry
Hi Sherry,
I have Medicaid and it only took 3 weeks for an approval. I haven't heard
that Medicaid requires 2 yrs of supervised visits. I had only seen my
doctor twice before for tests. I don't know much about this, but I really
have to wonder who is all this pre-op tests, Medicaid or the doctor.
I hope you get your approval quick, good luck. Sue

Sherry,
i have medicaid. i was approved a day later of them getting it.. i think it is how your primary care dr. writes your letter to the surgeon. it just to my surgeon a while to get it to the right office. I only had used phen phen for a month and that was in the letter. as long as you have your weight and your dr writes and says all things you have tried that should be good enough. i already had back up letters from people that know me and what i was going threw. one thing i had was 2 back surgeons saying i had back problems due to my weight. i felt the same way that i wouldnt get to have this surgery. and i go in on the 9th to have my surgery. i will pray you get to have your surgery.... lynda
