Dr. Sundberg's party

Last night, instead of our usual monthly support meeting. Dr. Sundberg gave a dinner party for his patients. (Missed you, Deb!) I, of course, had the luck to sit right across from the dietician. We laughed about it and I said "No recriminations!" Thursday marks Dr. Sundberg's one-year anniversary of bariatric surgery and he tallied the weight lost by those patients who came. Including himself (lost 90 pounds with his surgery), the total was just shy of 1 ton!!! We had a group picture taken. Hoping this is an annual event.

Susan, I REALLY wanted to come, but my daughter and I both have colds - naturally. And so it HAD to snow also - it takes me about 55 minutes each way. Hopefully next year! How many people showed up?? -Deb

What a neat idea! This is a doctor who truly understands the victory we feel in overcoming this addition! I wish my surgeon would do something like that!

wow that is a lot of weight. that is awesome you all had a party bet it was fun. just think next yr when you have it how much more it will be. lynda
