Write write write!!!!

I have been on a roll this past week. I have written to 2 Iowa Senators, Gov. Vilsack & now Steve King rep to Iowa in my district. I invite everyone to do the same & let them know how important WLS is. Also, my biggest complaint is insurance companies that think they can play God with our lives by stamping "Approved" or "Denied". I want a bill passed on this!!! I have told all of them that if your primary & your surgeon know this surgery is for you then all they should have to do is submit to the insurance companies & get "approved" on all. Of course all the standard qualifications have to be made, but leave this in the hands of your dr. & the surgeon. I also told Mr. King that I will keep writing until we get results. I feel the only way to get correct results is for everyone to write regardless if you are approved or denied. Let them know what this surgery means to you! Tell all, don't keep anything inside. It makes no difference if you are approved or have had the surgery, it needs to be told. We need to get their attention & the only way to do it is to write, write & write some more. I have a para-legal friend that has had WLS & will be happy to advocate if we need him. You can email me for his email addy if you want.
