Hello all, My name is DeAnne and I am three days short of being three months out. I am down 61 pounds. This Thanksgiving is bitter sweet. The sweet is I am in control of what I eat. The bitter is this is the last time my whole family will be together for a while. My nephew got called up and is leaving Dec. 1st. We are a small family and very close. It is the same as if my son was going. He doesn't know where he will be stationed yet. He does know he will be in the military police. YIKES!!!!

My name is Lisa Young, I'm preop, my surgery is December 22, 2003 with Dr. Eibes. I'm looking forward to seeing my new baby cousin (2 weeks old), and the turkey, but not looking forward for the 13 or more hours of driving to Boulder, Colorado.

Hi, my name is Sheila. I am pre-pre-pre-op. Meaning i don't even have a consultation date yet!! The one food item I am probably most looking forward to is moms dressing/stuffing. I am thankful that I have found this wonderful site and all of you beautiful people.

Hi Everyone, I am Leslea. I am preop date to be determined but looking like January or maybe February. Already approved by insurance !!! Well Thanksgiving we were to go to my sisters, but my mom had some water heater problems so will be spending the weekend replacing that, her floor and carpeting But at least we will be together. My most favorite thing to eat is my sister's cheesecake YUM!!!!! and "candied yams" my husband hates when I call it that he says they're sweet potatoes. Anyways safe journey to all who are traveling, GOD BLESS and HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Hello, Lisa. My name is Shelly and I am 2 months post-op and down 52lbs. I am looking forward to spending time with my family, but not so much of the eating. I still have a tendency to think my stomach is as big as my brain says and there for that gets me into trouble. I can't wait for the turkey though. And for the first time in my life I have been cooking and baking up a storm. Go figure. I can't eat it but the smell of food satisfies my cravings so I bake, bake, bake. I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving!!
