LORI/MENU
For the pureed stage I did a couple of things. I bought some little microwave lunch bowls (like hormel and Chef boyardee). Make sure you watch the sugar content. After mocrowaving them I would put them in my food chapper and puree them up.
One of my favorite puree foods was crabcakes. I would bake a natural crab cake (not the breaded kind) added a little milk and puree it up.
I hope this helps.

wish I could help, but I basically refused to puree anything. THe closest I came to that was just eating soup, like chicken noodle, but not eating the noodles much. I am one of the bad kids who tried stuff when I got home! although I knew some stuff would NOT go down, I did just chew things up REALLY well, like macs and cheese, if you cook the noodles, it really is quite soft.
After working at a nursing home over a year now, Ihave seen pureed just about everything, and all I can say is ew. lol. (like pureed salad with dressing on it? um, yuck!)
anyhow, do what you can, follow the docs orders. baby food I did try a little bit of, and sugar free applesauce did taste pretty good too.

I agree with Judi. I didn't puree anything. I did eat applesauce, cream of wheat, cottage cheese, and chicken noodle soup. I also bought baby food turkey with gravy and mixed it with mashed potatoes. My husband called it Sunday dinner in a cup! It's whatever your stomach will tolerate. A cup of chicken boullion microwaved with a raw egg stirred into it cooked till done and then mashed up gives you needed protein too.
