Cardiac Stress test

I am scheduled for a cardiac stress test in Iowa City. what is this going to entail? Has anyone else had one? I have to go to Iowa City, because the local hospital doesn't have the right facilities--I don't know what that means. I am kind of stressing here about the test any advice and information would be appreciated.

I had the two day test. The first day they just injected me with dye(via IV) and did an xray to see where it all went. I had to lay real still for about 10 minutes. The next day I had the IV again and they tracked me while I walked on the treadmill. They have to get your heart rate up to it's maximum. That was the worst! You not only have to walk the treadmill but they increase the speed and incline to work your heart harder. And at 330# I thought my time had come! Had to be on there at least 10 minutes. They are trying to see how much your heart can take while still showing normal rhythym. Thank God I passed! Now at 75# lighter it would be no big deal! Good luck with your procedure!
