Hi all, just wanted to say hi, and let you know that I'm still hanging in there, and trying tochange my denial!!! I talked to the insurance co. again this week, and at first was told I can't appeal a denial. Well, after a ten minute "discussion" with the insurance rep, I was transferred to her supervisor. I explained my situation, and she said to send in any additional info, and they'd consider it. I went to see my pcp this week, and he was not happy with the denial. He is in the process of writing a letter in my behalf. I was upset to find out that I have put on 12 lbs since this all began, in Aug. I'm a stress eater, and have I been stressed! I was also upset to find my blood pressure is getting higher. I go back in two weeks, to see if I need meds. Also, he's checking me for diabetes, I may be borderline. I'm getting kind of scared. If I don't get approval, I can't keep going down this road, or I will not live to see my old age. wish me luck! best wishes to all of you, good luck in your journey, where ever you're at, pre or post op!!!!! Hi Deeann! First of all, take a deep breath! They cannot deny you a right to appeal, that is against the law. Just trust in your PCP, who seems to be really in your corner and just fight the good fight! It will all work out in the end. Good luck and best wishes from me to you! Blessed Be! Sherry

I think its great your PCP is behind you, if you doctor with anyone else for anything, talk to them too. depression, arthritis, foot trouble etc... anything that might cost the insurance company int he long run good luck.

Sounds like they are starting to lean your way! And you must have a great PCP who is in your corner. Hang in there- where there's a will there's a way!
