Ok, November it going too slow. My surgery is December 22, 2003, I was wondering what is the best position for sleeping. Would I want to sleep in a bed or a chair. Any suggestions would be very helpful. And thank you for being there for me. I hope I can and am there for you. Thanks again Lisa Young

I couldn't lay down for about a week after I got home. A recliner would have been nice, but I made do with a big comfy chair and footstool. After the drains came out, I was back in my bed. Jeri H.

The recliner was definitely my best friend for the first week. Not that I slept a lot, I would sleep for a couple hours, then be awake for a couple. Even with cable, those middle of the night shows are really bad. After a week I tried my sorely missed bed. Well, I only stand 5', and the bed is very high. With my husband helping I somehow managed to end up upside down and inside out. Just kidding, but I did end up in a weird position and was just too worn out to care. But I slept fantastic that night. It really tests those stomach muscles, so do what you can and listen to your body. Best of luck! I'm so excited for all of you still waiting - I remember the anticipation. I still say this is one of the best things I've ever done.

I normally sleep on my side but after surgery that was to painful. The only way I got sleep was on my back. Which I hated because I am not aback sleeper. I had to have alot of pillow prop me up. I even found using a pillow that was in a u shape. This helps me from rolling on my side. I hope this helps. Good Luck!
