Coming out of Hibernation

Hi All! I think I am finally coming out of my hibernation period. I have really had to force myself to do ANYTHING. So far this morning I am tackling the dishes (damn little dish monsters that dirty them when you aren't looking!) and putting away the clean clothes. MIGHT, might, LOL get to the bathroom today to get it cleaned. I got my script for PT yesterday and was released to go back into the pool on Tuesday so that should help. Also had the second injection in my knee yesterday. Thank gawd for the "freeze spray" that they use to numb the area. I think it would be more of a test of my reflexes when they stick that needle into the joint than anything! I am getting in my vitamins and working on the water. I ahve never been a big plain water drinker so I have had to do the SF kool-aid and juice and etc. to get close to the daily fluid amounts I need. I learned (the HARD way) that, No, I cannot have even one little teeny bite of the Turtle Brownies that mom had at her house. First dumping episode, not gung-ho to do that again! Learned my lesson. I am sorry I have not been posting, but I have been reading everyday. I am hoping to do better. If anyone else would like to do a chat tonight (Friday) I will put it on the chat schedule and try (you know how things go, nothing until you have plans!)to be in the chat room around 7PM. If there are others that have exciting Friday nights at home like me (LOL) then please join me so I can get caught up and get to know all these new people we have. I think we really must have one of the Best state message boards on the site. Hope to see ya there. (((HUGS))) Elizabeth

Elizabeth, Glad to see you are getting back to posting I've missed your posts. I think I've been doing the hibernation thing ever since I started this journey. I'm painting somewhere in my house every weekend doing the hall this weekend and am cleaning out junk and getting organized. I told my husband that at least if I kick the bucket during surgery the new woman will have a great house LOL LOL LOL I don't think he thought it was funny though. Great to have you back. Ann

I have felt the same kind of hibernation that you have after surgery. I think we have this anticipation built up inside for months waiting for this surgery to happen, then afterwards it is just a hugh sigh of relief that everything went according to plan and now I feel like I don't know which direction to go into next? Does that make sense? Wendy

Good to hear you're back in action! I've missed your posts! I agree about Iowa probably having one of the best message boards- just check out some of the others- they hardly have any responses! Sorry I missed the Friday night chat. I can never keep up with those things! Looking forward to hearing more from you!
