Does anybody know Dr. Roger Shinnerl

I'm looking into gastric bypass surgery in the NW region of the state. I'm from Odebolt, IA - close to Denison and Carroll region. I know that this Dr. has done past gastric bypass surgeries but wondered if any of you members have had him or heard of him. My fiance had a different kind of cancer surgery done on him in the stomach area and was a real success. I was really impressed by this Dr. and I am thinking of using him.

Carol, welcome to the board. I can't help you with your question, but I do know there are Dr.s in Boone, and CB/ omaha area that to the surgery if that is any help. Ask the Dr. about his history with this surgery and how he would feel about doing it. Hope this helps a little. Elizabeth

Carol, I am going with Dr. Vollstedt in Dakota Dunes, I have been real happy with him and his staff. All have been very helpful.
