Sleepy is home
Hi everyone, I am finally home. I'm in quite a bit of pain and am extremely exhausted!! But hey, I am HERE Monday was a BIG day. Open RNY, hernia repair, and GB removal all went well. So far, everything is good, I think. LOL. I have GAS in my tummy that just won't go away and it HURTS like the !! I'll post more later, but wanted to thank all of you for your friendship, support, and well wishes. Good luck to those of you on your way, and I hope all's well with those of you there Loves~Tammy
I'm glad to hear that you are home. I am fairly new to this site and don't have a chance to post very often. I have gotten approval already for my surgery, now I just need a surgery date. I've seen the surgeon, gone through the psych eval, now I have to wait to see the pulmonologist due to sleep apnea, get my final blood work and chest x-ray and away I go. I would love to hear how you progress.
Also wanted to ask a few questions since you are a newbie to post surgery. Did you know you had a hernia before your surgery? How long were you in hospital? Thanks and let me know how you do
Thank you so much everyone for the warm welcome homes. I just wished that I felt better. I have been a bit miserable to say the least. I know, I'm not even 1 week out and I had 3 major surgeries in one big opening, but HOLY COW, I don't seem to EVER see anyone feeling really bad or negative after surgery. Maybe I'm just a BIG WUSS. LOL. Anyway, thanks so much ya'll. You are all WONDERFUL ~Lubbs, Tammy
Welcome home Tammy! It would be pretty unusual for you NOT to feel miserable after having half your innards removed and several pair of hands pushing everything else around in there! The first couple of weeks can be pretty miserable but I always reminded myself that 2 weeks are only a pindot in my entire lifeline so you will feel better and hopefully forget the worst of it since the rewards are so much sweeter.
