Update
Yesterday was my 3 month checkup. Since, Aug. 5 2003, I have lost 92 lbs. The blood work was great! My 3 month A1C was 5.9, Cholesterol was 138 (which showed up low), BP was great and I lost 15 BMI points. I am on no medications for diabetes or HBP - presurgery I was on 5 different pills just for these two problems.
The past three months have been to most difficult in my life. I lost a very good guy friend (we just broke up in April) to Pancretic cancer. His first chemo was the day before my surgery and he did not even live ten weeks after. Another friend died a week later and a co-worker died yesterday. My sister had surgery on her colon today. Also, during all this, the reports about all the deaths in the media.
Even with all that has gone on in the past three months, I am glad I decided to do the surgery. It is not easy by any means but the results speak for itself. A more thinner & healthier life!
Wow has your life had some serious trials!! I'm very impressed, you've
gotten through it all, which is the best anyone can do. I don't know how
you're handling all that, I am very sorry to hear about all of it. I hope
you have lots of support to help you through this. And to lose all that
weight on top of it, WOW. Your post gave me some much needed
inspiration, thank you. sue
Oh Stephanie! What changes you have seen in the past three months! So sorry about your friends and sister.... One never knows when its your turn. Sounds like you have been able to maintain a good attitude throughout all this- it shows you are a strong person with a lot of spirit who is an example to others. I certainly hope the personal side of your life settles down and you continue to be successful in your journey toward better health!
