Looking for support group to met in person

Hi, everyone. I am almost a year out. My surgery was on Nov. 21, 2002 with Dr. Maher in Iowa City. The one thing that I dislike about having my surgery with him is that there is no support group. Are there any groups that meet around the Iowa City area? Jennifer 284/174/150 goal

Hi Jennifer-My name is Diana Barnett and I am from Ottumwa Iowa. I had surgery on Sept. 9th of this year at Iowa Methodist in Des Moines. There are several here in our community that had surgery and on Thursday the 6th we are starting a support group at Ottumwa Regional Health Center from 6PM to 8PM.This is about 82 miles from Iowa City. You are more than welcome to come. I seen your message posted and thought I would let you know. Nice to hear from you Diana
