a little better, day by day
a bunch of people have asked me questions. I am sorry, but with the influence of pain killers, I can 't remember them all! LOL If you have questions for me, post them under this post and I will answer them when I can. I did not tolerate the Lortab elixer, so I am taking vicodin pills. Usually half is all I need- whole one puts me to sleep. I knew there would be pain, but I really didn't realize how badly my back would hurt. Once I got home and was able to lay down on my own bed for a while, most of the pain has gone in the back area. I really think that has helped more with the breathing and coughing than anything.
FYI ALERT!! In the hospital, you are given Resource drink. (Boost breeze was an alternate for me.) I realy didn't mind the wild berry Resource so I asked my local Drugtown pharmacy and they ARE able to order it for us. 27- 8 oz "juice boxes" for $37 dollars. It takes until the next day to have it deliv ered. (pick mine up today) Just an FYI. Gonna lay back down for a bit, now that I have walked around the house, had my juice and (PARTY!!! LOL) passed gas. I will check in off and on during the day.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SUPPORT AND WELL WISHES!! THEY REALLY MUST HAVE WORKED SINCE I AM HOME ALREADY! (((HUGS))) Elizabeth
Hi Elizabeth, Glad to here you are at home. Each day will get better and you will feel alot better. Today I am 5 weeks post op and I don't regret having this done. Suppose to went back to Dr. A.C. today they had to cancel my appt. until Nov. 6th. So far I've lost over 30 lbs. Hope you continue to get better and will talk to you later. Diana
In another few weeks you will barely remember the pain(kind of like giving birth!) I was lucky- my back never bothered me after surgery. I used to take 3-4 Ibuprophen every morning just to numb the aches and pains all the fat inflicted on my body. You keep hanging in there! Each day will be better than the next!

You have such a positive attitude and we should all learn from that Almost all of the Iowan posties have GREAT attitudes. I will keep you in my prayers and hope you continue to feel better each day!
