Has anyone had problems in their relationship with their boyfriend since their surgery? We have been engaged since 4-02 and he won't set a date. He says now he doesn't know if he wants to ever get married. I have lost 106 # and now he doesn't want me but he did when I was fat. Any suggestions? Please help me !!!

My husband and I have been married for over 12 years and we are having some rocky times too. I haven't been able to get to the bottom of it yet but I think it comes from some insecurity on his part- he thinks now that I am losing weight that I will be more self-confident and no longer want him. Well honey I was very independent when we met(had been a single mom for 11 years!) and I still wanted him so I guess he is stuck with me huh? In the back of my mind I also wonder if the unrest stems from some control issues. When we were fat, we may have been more dependent on our men, it made them feel important and they could boss us around a bit more because they thought we couldn't find anyone else and strike out on our own. Now they are getting uneasy because we are showing we CAN stand on our own two feet! Whatever the reason, if your man is showing he cannot make a committment at this point it may be time to move on. Maybe the two of you have just outgrown each other.
