I got a date today!!!

I just had to let someone know that I got a call and I have a date!! I go Nov. 4, 2003!! I am so excited. Lap banding. I am so ready to live life again and be able to make better choices and changes in my health. This is such a supportive bunch. I am not real familiar with these email groups and this is nice to come home and view all of the responses.

Thank you so much to all of you. It seem that my whole mind set has changed and I feel that a big weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

Getting the date was the most exciting news about the whole process for me because it meant that surgery was actually going to happen. I no longer had to talk and speculate about the "what ifs." Thank God for this surgery! There are days I want to dive into certain foods that I like but my body would not tolerate it. I can now be very selective about my food choices and eat like a "normal" person! Believe me, it is quite a learning experience! I am happy for anyone else who feels this is the right thing for them to do! Congradulations and welcome to the entrance into "the other side"!!!!

Just keep your sunny side up- not all that hard for most of us former fatties! And yes, at 299 pounds, I consider myself a "reforming" fattie! That's down from the original 370! I don't have any regrets, and I'm sure you won't either! Congrats! Jeri H.
