Any Dr. Matt Glas****'s patients?
Hi! My name is Sherry Weber and I am from Fairbank, IA. I am scheduled to attend Dr. Glas****'s seminar on 10/15/03, and I was wondering what to expect and how long you had to wait from the time of the seminar until you were able to get a consultation date? I have already filled out and sent in the informational packet and I have already scheduled a sleep study for 10/14/03. And if you have had Dr. Glas**** what is he like and what is his attitude like? I would appreciate any and all information everyone could contribute!!
Sherry, You're going to like him lots. He is very upfront. He will tell you what he expects from you & what you can expect from him.
We have all had to wait quite awhile for our initial appointment. He will tell you what tests you need to have & once they are complete you get your surgery date. Don't expect it to be right away. I started this process in January. My surgery was scheduled for 9/16.
Did I say he is very throrough & careful? He postponed my surgery because a tumor was detected during the last test, an ultrasound. He said that had to be taken care of first before he would continue & as painful as that was, he was right. I'm hoping now to have the surgery before Christmas.
There is a Yahoo group that is mainly made up of his patients. If you are interested in joining send an e-mail to [email protected] We're all happy to have new members & our members are in all stages of this process.

Hi Sherry. Dr. Glas**** is really, really good. I started the process back in February with my initial consultation and then had surgery Sept. 18. There's going to be a lot of tests and for me alot of ups and downs. I have sleep apnea after taking the sleep study, so that delayed things, then came a spot on my lung after chest x-rays, so in for a CT scan and finally surgery. He is very up front with you and explains things quite well, and I can't say enough about how good his office staff is. The nurses are always there no matter what your questions or problems. I felt very comfortable with him the moment I met him and he is really there for you not only for the surgery but for follow ups for years to come, but if you do, do something you really shouldn't he'll tell you. I hope I didn't blab too much, and I hope this helps some. One last thing the hospital staff is great, I know I had my reserves about Sartori but the nurses there were great.
