I had surgery Monday and came home yesterday. What a journey this has been. By the most part I feel pretty good but I am having extreme pain in my ribs and back. The incision doesn't hurt at all. I was bored today so I counted my staples. I have 48 of those little titanian suckers. I came home with a JP tube and a GT tube and both are still draining pretty heavily. That makes me think that there is something wrong even though AC and his staff has assured me that this is very normal. The person that was going to go with me pooped out Sunday afternoon. I had a 20 min. melt down and then told myself to just suck it up that I could do this alone if I need to. All went well. Talk to you all later. PJ

Welcome home! Wow! I only had 22 staples and no tubes! I heard that sometimes your ribs hurt because they have to lift them up when doing the surgery. My surgeon told me I will feel like I got run over by a truck afterwards and he was not too far off from that! Now you are on your way.... the tubes will soon come out and the next report will be.....BYE BYE pounds!!!!!! Keep us posted!

Congrats! I am glad to hear you are doing well. I have found that recovery is the hardest part of this. On your bad days just remember that a new day will bring more healing. Every week brings change and for the most part it is good.
