Just a quick note

I just wanted to say thanks for all the responses. It really has been a roller coaster day from hell. Very excited starting clear liquids early this morning. Then the first call from the surgeon's office and the bottom dropped out of my day. Then the second call and things start to look up. I am still VERY upset with the whole situation. Dr AC is a general surgeon and does other things besides WLS. I guess I am glad I wasn't having some other immediately life threatening surgery. Like appendectomy or something. The only reason I got was "for personal reasons" I do have to say Thank God for Dr Myrie. I know he did Kelly's surgery and as far as I know she is ok. (or as ok as she ever was!! :P) So I guess I am getting a few bonus days to nest. I have had my temper tantrum and have figuratively kicked my feet and pounded my fists. Now I will put away the summer clothes and get out the winter ones (nesting ya know) and keep my fingers crossed that they don't cancel on me next week. I will just have to work harder to lose that extra week's worth of weight post-op. Thanks again for showing the Iowa support that I have always known and rallying when the chips were down. Elizabeth

im so sorry to hear what happend just think positive you will be on the loseing side soon. i will be looking forward to hear from you on here i will say my prayers for you and i wish you good luck.

So glad to hear things turned around for you so quickly! I think our group would have banded together and had a cyber-picket line around the surgeon's office if it hadn't!!!I lived through my one-week delay too. In fact when I found out it was delayed, I just got a jump start on my new food plan, pretending I had surgery anyway which probably helped get my body better prepared. Your turn will be here before you know it!
