UPDATE.....Surgery date is now 10/10/03 NEXT Friday. Dr Myrie, bless him, is taking some of the patients of Dr AC. So now I am just hanging, suspended in time until NEXT week. Better than starting all over though.

Oh jeez, Elizabeth. What a mess! I am so sorry about Dr. A.C. Does anyone yet know the reason why? I am so glad you have a new date with Dr. Myrie. He also has a great reputation. And you still are scheduled before me! Hugs from me and Sue.

Oh wow! What a letdown! My surgery was postponed only one week so I have a tiny idea of what you are going through. Few people realize the psyching up process that goes along with this surgery. It's not surgery, its an entire lifestyle change! I hope the re-assessment process does not take long. The least they can do is make arrangements with another surgeon who is sensitive to the situation. And with any luck it will be fast enough so you dont have to go through all the pre-testing again. At least you have ins approval. Hang in there Elizabeth! It will happen when it is meant to and the rewards will be even sweeter!

I know it stinks that you have to wait, but at least you know you get to have it soon. I will keep my fingers crossed that nothing else gets in the way and you go through surgery without a hitch. Julie

I can't imagine what a roller coaster ride of emotions you must be on this morning. I realize that doctors have reasons for doing things like this that are more than likely very valid, but sometimes I wonder if they really understand how very emotionally difficult this procedure is on the patient. And to have all of it come crashing down in a matter of seconds ...... I'm going to think only positive thoughts for you now - I'm sure you and Dr. Myrie will be a good team and everything will be fine. Take Care!!! - Deb W.

Elizabeth how upsetting it must have been. Thankfully someone has stepped in to help out but I imagine it is a little shaky thinking you had all the ducks in a row and now you have to change gears and on short notice. Well keep thinking positive thoughts and I'm sure it will all work out. You know I am amazed at how many doctors and even a dentist near me have just up and left so many patients in the lurch lately. But you know if you miss an appointment with them your charged. Ann

Elizabeth, I'm so glad Dr. Myrie was able to squeeze you in. I just had my surgery 9/5 by Dr Myrie and I have all the confidence in the world in him. Hang in there. Amy
