iron pills

Has anyone else had problems taken iron & B12 pills? I started on then and they have really upset my stomach, Dr. said may have caused a small ulcer. He says to stay off them for awhile, but will have to take them for life. Have been off them a week and my stomach still hurts. I started taking prevecid today and that has helped. Anyone else had this kind of problem and what have you done. Jim

Sorry to hear your having problems. I switched from chewable vitamins to ones that I can swallow- much easier for me. During support group last weekend, the surgeon said that if you take any kind of asprin or Motrin, to take it with an antacid. Wonder if this would work with your supplments> Good luck, Jeri H.
