Hi everyone, I had surgery on Sept. 15th. I had excelent care at Trinity West Rock Island, IL. The doctor ended up taking my gall bladder due to infamation and being thick were his words. I was up walking Monday evening. I suffered from a very bad headache, possibly related to the morphine and was taken off on Tuesday and given Lor-Tab pills and that did the trick! I was able to take a shower on Wednesday, that felt great!! On Tuesday, the doctor ordered four walks per day and emphazied the breathing treaments to reduce any complications with the lungs. Accomplished this with no problems. I was determined to stick to the orders. Monday and Tuesday liquids, Weds began semi-liquid diet, have had no problems at home with the diet either. I decided that the baby food was not a good idea for me, no taste. So I have been pureeing my own food and add a little seasoning, no pepper and 1 tsp. of margarine. I have pureed oatmeal with a ripe banana and skim milk for breakfast, or an scambled egg measured to a 1/4 cup and applesauce or oj, no pulp. Just a few ideas. My follow-up visit will be on Friday Sept. 26th. The staples are no feeling that great, I'll tell you that and you really need to be careful of what activities that you do, very light that's for sure!! So far so good!!, no cravings about anything yet. Take Care all paula

Great to hear such a good report! You are just a cookin along! It feels MUCH better once the staples are out and you will feel like doing more without being so sore. One day at a time- it gets better! Keep up the good work!
