Sarah, Though your recovery may be slowed and you'll probably have some more rough days, I believe as you do, that if your ulcer had decided to do it's thing after you'd returned home or even a few weeks down the road, your outcome could have been quite different. I think your guardian angel must have been tapping the surgeon on the shoulder and whispering in his ear! I'll be thinking about you. Take it easy and be sure to follow all the doc's instructions. Keep us posted. - Deb W.

Sarah: I am go happy for you that you seem to have made it out of the woods! Take good care of yourself. Thank you, also, for reminding me that this surgery can serious complications- I get so anxious to "be on the other side"- that sometimes I forget what a difficult road it is once you get there!. I hope you start to feeling better soon!

Wow Sarah, I was in Grinnell Regional the same time as you. I had open RNY on Sept 12th with Dr. Schwartz. That was a lot you had to go through. I looked at your web site, you are so beautiful! Dr, Coster is a a fabulous doctor! I'm so glad God was watching over you! Deb Paul
