My daughter has a surgery date of Oct 3rd

Hi All...I visit this site often and look at the amazing before and after pictures of the courageous people that had the WLS. My daughter has been heavy all of her life and has finally made the decision to have the WLS. Dr. John Roth, Moline will be performing hers on Oct 3rd. She is only 28 and has missed out on alot of life not being able to do certain types of activities, or go places because of her weight. I am concerned because it is a major surgery, but I am also excited for her and for her new "life" that she will have after she loses weight. She will have a couple tough days after the surgery, but knows that it will get better with the 3rd day and it's all uphill from there. I just want to tell everyone that I truly admire all of you and wish everyone the Best of Luck and that God will watch over all of you as you make your journey.

Tell your daughter that we all wish her good luck in her new journey! Sometimes it's hard for the first month or two even..but now, at 10 weeks, I am soo glad that I had this done - and im sure she will be too. God bless ~Dawn Phillips

That is great news for your family. She will be on the losing side shortly. Keep us updated and I will be praying for a speedy recovery.

I just wanted to say Thank you to all who posted a reply and/or sent me an email. I will not post anything until after my daughter's surgery is over, (Oct 3rd) but God Bless those of you getting ready to have the WLS or just went through it.
