Sue Outland Thurs. update

First I want to say thanks to all of you for sending Sue cards. When I talked to her this morning she hadn't gotten them yet, but I am sure she will either later today or tomorrow. She will be so surprised. When I talked to her, she sounded tired and said she was sore. Some sort of problem with the PCA/morphine pump. So she wasn't getting pain reliever when she needed it. They were getting it switched to a new one. They had moved her from one ICU room to another since they didn't have a reg. room open yet, but she thought they would be moving her later today. She passed her leak test this morning but still hadn't had anything to put in her mouth. Not ice chips or anything. They (the Dr.) is talking about doing a head CT since she had numbness in her neck. (She told him there was nothing there!) Something to do with the heart surgery she had last year and having the artery cut and tied off?? Didn't quite understnad that. OK, enough rambling for tonight. I will talk to her again tomorrow. If any of you would like to call her, She is at Mercy in CB and the main number is (712) 328-5000 since they have been playing musical rooms. She is an awesome lady and very nice to talk to.
