Wow- I can't believe I am saying that!!I am still at UofI hospital. May be released today or tomorrow. All has gone very well. I was scared at first that it wasn't going to happen as my white blood count was too high. The whole I V thing has been a challenge. They have poked me about 15 times so far. Other than that, My biggest blessing was this morning - I PASSED GAS! The whole nurses station was cheering for me!! It was a major relief. Anyway, talk to you all soon - Calynn

So good to hear from you and glad everything is going well! I had problems with keeping IV's in too but I think I ONLY got poked about 5 or 6 times not 15! They finally had to call someone who works in trauma to do mine and she was able to get it right in! Yes, passing gas is a "rite of passage" and a grand relief. It feels even better down the road! Soon the pounds will come peeling off and you will join the ranks of other LOSERS!!!!! Welcome to the other side!!!!

Way to go Calynn! I hope you do get to go home soon. Funny isn't it, how we are NOT as ladies supposed to "pass gass" in public, and one of the times we do, we are cheered on! LOL, that is sooo funny! Anyway, good luck and WAY TO GOOOOOO!!
