May I vent?

I hope so, because I have been crying out of frustration all day. I called my insurance company and was once again told that they don't know anything yet, but hopefully by the end of the week. Now they have had the letter from the surgeon since August 8th, and every week I get, "Try back next week." What really makes me angry is that they haven't requested any additional info, plus I get my insurance through the hospital that would perform my surgery. I am just so tired of the run around that I could scream. I called the Human Resources office today to let them know how awful this experience with our provider has been, but of course for most of the day, everyone was out of the office. When they did answer the phone, the person I wanted was away and of course didn't bother to call me back. I have about come to the conclusion that this is just not goiing to happen for me. Guess I'll just keep piling up office visits for my back pain, depression and everything else that could be helped if I could only lose weight. Sorry to unload on everyone, but I am just about at the end of my rope.

Sheila, I will tell you this. Im going through the samething as you and it sucks. I call everyday and sometimes two times. Soon they wuill have an answer either way. Yes I get very depressed about it all. All I can say is just stick to your guns and dont give up . I know im not . We will get there. Stacy XOXO
Sheila,
DONT GIVE UP! You have only been waiting for a little over a month. Some insurance companies keep people waiting much longer. And look at the positive side: they haven't answered..but they haven't declined either! Did you ask them if they have RECIEVED the physicians request for surgery yet? If they admit that they have recieved it, get a name of the person that tells you this for future reference because some insurance companies are good at "losing" the first few requests HOPING that the person will give up. DONT LET THEM WIN. If they had their way, they'd have you give up...dont give them what they want. Show them how important this is to you! March your A$$ right down to the human resources department...it's not as easy to ignore someone if they are in your face as it is to ignore a voice mail. If you hadn't noticed I'm a very stubborn person..and you need to be too if this is what you want to do for yourself. And remember, you might get refused...and then..fight all the harder. YOU WILL WIN. I have faith in you. ~~Dawn Phillips~~~
