HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I need to know if anyone has had the MEDICALLY NEEDY SPENDOWN for title XIX. I just found out a couple of days ago that I have to spend $1200 for services before title XIX will pick up the tab. My consern is, am I still required to get pre-approval for surgery????? I'm STRESSIN, it's 2:30 am and I cannot sleep cuz I'm stressin so badly. PLEASE HELP :o(

I am sure the spend down has to be paid first, how is your spend down figured? I know some people that have to pay the spenddown every month or even every two months. You would still have to get preapproval. call your IM worker, they should be able to tell you more.

Hi Tammy, I would also suggest that you talk to your doctors billing office. If they participate with Medicaid they can call Medicaid for you and ask this question. There isn't a phone number for a recipient of to call Medicaid for policy questions. Your local DHS can help you with this but I think having your doctors office call Medicaid is your best bet.
