Reflection
First of all I want to say that my prayers are with all who have lost anyone in the trgic day 2 years ago. Being on the fire department, I was in awe and scared beyond belief that this was happening. I remember that day so clear, I had just sent my son off to preschool and when I turned on the tv I saw the 2nd plane hit. My first thought was to go get my son and be with him. I remember calling my mom and crying, finding out that the plane hit in PA was horrible. I have family in both both NYC and PA. We were toned out to be on "alert" for possib;e terroist attacks here in Iowa. Remember we have alot of crop land and we didn't know if they would try to attack our food sources for the U.S. Please keep all in your prayers today and always. Now on with the update.... I am now down to 218 as of this morning. The weight isn't coming off very fast at all. I have examined my diet and I just can't see why I am stuck. I eat mostly protien and a few veggies. I have tried a few sweets while we have been out and about and they just don't like me. I have drank so much water I am growing gills and ate so much chicken that I have new feathers growing. I need to get more motivated to excersise more. All I am doing is 30 min a day on my recumbant bike. I have had a few set backs the past week and I am determined to get back on my bike for longer periods of time. As far as the boys go, today is the termination hearing. I am hoping to know more either late today or tomorrow. The state says we have a "good chance" of getting them. Please say an extra prayer for us today.~~~Amy LAP RNY 08-05-03 / -29 pounds
I will keep you in my prayers. I am only 9 days out and not sure what you could be doing wrong. Have you thought you are not doing anything wrong maybe it is just your body plateuing. Just keep working on it. I sure everyone goes through this. I am also sure it is frustrating. I hate the fact that everyone lose weight differntly. Keep up the good work and it will start to come down.
Amy, when have you ever lost 29 # in one month? Keep things in perspective and remember to drink, drink, drink tha****er, you might also try to up the protein and of course exercise.
I remember 911 to, my son and I were in Des Moines at a motel and we were all clustered around the television in the breakfast room watching quietly. I stayed there a couple of more nights and remember the motel being crowded with people that couldn't get any planes out of town. and remember the president flying over? this all brings tears just thinking about the sacrifices and heroism seen that day.
