I had surgery on the 3rd and everything went real good and I am now home. I have no pain and that is wonderful, but I don't feel real perky either. I too have the desire to go to the frig and get something, I miss eating something. I am having trouble getting the protien shakes down, I want to eat but I am not hungry and my stomach kind of hurts when I put something in it. I am sure that everything will start to get better soon. I miss eating.

Jim, I am right there with you. I had surgery on Sept 2. They have me on boos t breeze, broth and water. I have found if you smell before you drink it helps. I am sore can't wait for the full luiquid diet. Everyone keeps reminding me this is the worst it will be right know. We can only go up from here.

Hi Jim! Glad surgery is over and you are doing so well. Don't worry too much about getting everything right in the first few days. You have enough reserve to get you by for a while. It takes a while to get the hang of what you are supposed to take in and when. And yes, that little tummy inside is pretty sore. I read that you can liken it to having an ulcer and it takes up to a month to heal. It might be easier to divide your protein shake up into very small portions that you can sip on throughout the day. Warm beef or chicken boullion is very soothing too to get your fluids in. It's all uphill from here!
