Last Tuesday I was weighed exactly 2 weeks after the surgery, and I was down 39 pounds. I couldn't believe it. I don't expect to lose weight at this rate after this, but it's a pretty good start. Snacking has been the hardest thing to control, hopefully I can work on that part over the next few weeks.

That's great!!! However, snacker beware! Don't forget to get your water and protein in betwen meals and that might help that snacking gremlin that pops out of us!!! Taks Care and congrats paula

You are doing wonderful, congrats! Snacking is hard, but you have to overcome a whole lifetime of bad eating habits and it takes more than a couple weeks to do that so don't get too down on yourself. Work on water intake, maybe that will help you feel full and lessen the snacking urge. Good job! ~Julie

The incredible shrinking man!!! Isn't that an awesome feeling? At my 2 wk weigh-in I was scared to even look at the scales cuz I had been disappointed so many other times. But 20# had melted off without even feeling it! I am still skeptical every time I step on the scales but the weight keeps coming off! Is'nt this surgery great?!!

GOod Job James!!! Just a snacking tip I have picked on the main message board. Something like 85% of the failures are people that go back to drinking carbonated drinks. The gas stretches not only the pouch, but also the hole where the stuff goes into the intestine. Just a word of advice. Not only do I have to quit smoking, but I have to get rid of my Diet Dr. Pepper that has been in my life for like 20 years. Congrats on the weight loss. And don't be afraid to post any questions of comments you have. Lots of post-ops here to answer them. Elizabeth
