What the heck????????
I have not lost any weight in several days. I am so confused here. I know I wasn't getting in my 64 oz of water, but I was getting close to 50. I am getting in between 50-75 grams of protein a day. I am going to the hospital to work out 3 days a week and I ride my bike here at home the other 4. Now I know I just started working out last week, but shouldn't something be coming off? I am still on pureed food and I have had a bite of very tender roast pork. I am staying away from the carbs and sugar as well. I even gained 2 pounds. I have been bleeding since the surgery so it isn't PMS. What am I doing wrong here? ~~~Amy LAP RNY 08-05-03 / -21 pounds
amy,
Man that is the pits! I dont know what to tell you! I have had about a pound a day come off since the surgery. Some days nothing goes off, and I feel bad about that. It sounds like you are doing the right things though, so I wouldnt worry too much. You could possibly give your doc a call, and just tell him you are concerned? Are youtaking your vitamins, ? maybe something else is wrong with those blood clots? I hate to think that way, but who knows? Talk to your doc!!!
Good luck hun!
Jude
How about inches? sometimes if you are working out you are developing muscle and muscle weighs more than fat--at least that is what they say at Curves, so they tell you to expect not to lose lbs, but inches and then lbs will follow. good thing--Muscle generates a higher metabolism, so you burn fat even when resting-
Good luck and don't get discouraged.
Amy...i did the same exact thing! Once I started working out... i gained in muscle as i was losing in fat... and it cancelled out each other for almost 2 weeks! It was very frustrating..but you are still losing! I have lost 32 lbs. in 7 weeks..and from weeks 3-4 it just stalled there..and drove me CRAZY!!! Your not alone hun..but muscle weights more than fat..and your gaining muscle right now. ~~~Dawn Phillips
