Hey Cindy, I was just wondering the same thing! It would be great to have a good group here in Des Moines. I am really looking forward to talking/sharing our pre-post operative questions and stories. Hopefully we won't have to organize one? -Deb W.

I agree with the both of you. I would love to have a group of friends that meet outside of a hospital setting and visit about how things are going with their weight loss journey. I was doing some looking yesterday in the older comments section of the messageboard and came across a posting about Des Moines Area support groups. Apparently, Methodist has one on the 1st Thursday of every month at 6:30 at the School of Nursing across from the ER. You can contact Tammy Strachan the coordinator at 241-3423 and then they've started one at Mercy Capitol for the 3rd Tuesday of the Month at 5 pm. Hope this is helpful to you also!
