Drumroll please!!!!!! 20# gone!!! in only 12 days!!!! This process has been eye-opening. Its hard for me to get my water in but I am lucky I have not dumped or vomited yet. Still having some incision pain but am finally rid of those needle-like staples as of yesterday. Sleep pattern still goofy-hard to sleep through the night. Doctor attributes it to all the hormone changes. Went "out to eat" with family last night. Sipped hot tea while they dined on beer-batter fish(ouch!!). Spent most of weekend cooking and baking for company. Actually it kept me busy. A word of advice though- kneading bread dough not good for tender tummy! I had my first "normal food" today- mashed potatoes- it was heaven! I have to work harder on getting in enough protein. Will keep everyone updated.

That is wonderful. Doesn't it feel great to see the scale moving down instead of up?~~~Amy LAP RNY 08-05-03 / -23 pounds

Thanks for the update hon... I watched FoodTV Network for 2 weeks while recuperating... it was just like cooking for others, it made it easier knowing I could do for others even if I couldn't eat the stuff myself. Congratulations on the weight loss, I am glad thigns are going good for you. 20 pounds gone forever!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!! ~Julie
