Anyone who has had the Lap Band Procedure Done! Please Reply

I had my consultation yesterday with the doctor and we have agreed on the Lap Band. I would like to hear from those of you who have had this procedure done and how you are doing. I am ready for everything to take place now but of course this is all a waiting game. Can't wait till I hear from you. I am in West Central Iowa and would like some people to chat with and be supports for one another.

Hi Sharon, I had the lap band inserted 8/4/03 by Dr. Rizk in Sioux City. The wt. loss is slower but it is coming off.I lost 8 lbs. in 2 weeks, it will slow down now as I'm feeling better now and have an appitite back.I just had my first post op follow up yesterday and he scheduled me for a fill 9/19/03.You can e-mail me at [email protected] with any questions that I may beable to help you with.
