invitations

I just sent out 87 invites to the IA message board and I am not even up to the "F" s yet! Only those learning or hoping to have surgery, no post ops!! ( I don't have anything against post-ops, just figure they must have gotten support somewhere else.) So be prepared for another group of new people. I know you all will welcome them. Hopefully soon I will get to the rest of the Iowans on the list. It is now 11:30 pm and waaayyy past my usual bedtime so I will check back tomorrow and see if any have posted yet. I have noticed that this site is hidden secret for most. But I have to say this has been for me a life saver. It is do great that you have been sharing the site with others. I quess I wouldn't have thought of that. Way to Go Elizabeth!

well, I am through the letter "L". 138 more invites tonight. Man are my fingers getting tired. (even though I cheat and cut and paste! ) Elizabeth

What is wrong with cut and paste mode. More power to you. I didn't know about this either until I ran into Deanne. But, when I logged on, the Iowa Message link was over on the left side. so, I expect everyone in Iowa has the link. It is just clicking on it. Maybe, like you say, people don't come the the site very often. One thing that torks me off is clicking on someones profile and nothing is there. Just their name and maybe a doc. How frustrating. It is bad enough when people slack off and don't update either. I used to go to the anniversary page and send well wished to everyone having an anniversary on that particular day. But I quit doing that because it got so time consuming. I occasionally would get responses from people. I also would ask them to update their profile if it hadn't been for quite some time.

OK, 96 last night and 140 more today, but I made it all the way through the alphabet! Hope to see lots of new people here soon. Gonna take my poor fingers to PT now! lol ELizabeth

I am one of the hundreds that received an invitation this weekend! I was one of them in the "V's" so I was a tail-ender! Thank you for sending the email. I have been checking the message board for about 2 weeks now and have been reading everyone elses messages but haven't posted anything myself until now. I am patiently waiting for my paperwork to be received by my insurance company and get the approvals thru before things can progress. The many conversations going on thru the Iowa Board has been a wonderful source of information so far. I check the South Dakota one also since I am having surgery there but there is absolutely no one communicating there so I'm glad I can read here instead. I will be checking in regularly so keep the info flowing! Thanks again! Wendy

Elizabeth, Hi My name is Kat. I have recieved your invite and am so happy you took the time to send it to me. Just last night I went in search of a chat room to talk to others that had this done. And was so frusterated at how fast it went and how impersonal it was. It seems you have to be a speed demon to keep upand know others there to really talk to anyone, so needless to say, I logged out very discouraged. Then today, I got this invite from you. WOW what a blessing. Don't know how you found me but am sure glad you did. THANK YOU so very much and I will sure check this out. Have already found some interesting things.
