I had a woman from this area call me asking questions regarding WLS. Her main question is this: Is there an age limit? She is 65 and worried that shemight be to old or that she will not be able to find a doctor that will perform the surgery on her at this age. She has diabetes, 2 artificial knees, and has aleady looked into her insurance- they will pay for surgery and her PCP will recommend her to a surgeon of her choice. She is in reasonable good health other than those co-morbidities. What do you people know? Age limits, certain docs... I would love to be able to give her some options when I meet her next week. Thanks in advance! ~Julie

I have seen posts on the main message board from women over 60 that have had WLS. Might be a good idea to post your question there. Elizabeth

Julie, I know of lady in Britt who's in her mid 60's and had rny at Rochester in late April and is doing just fine last time I talked to her she had lost 80+ since her surgery. So that one I know of over the 60 mark. Sheila
