Hi, THis is Deb Paul, Jason's wife and he had is open RNY this morning at Grinnell, everything went well, and he is in ICU, because he has sleep apnia. I was very nervous during his surgery, waiting in the waiting room. But everything was fine, it took about 45 minutes, and he is eating ice chips and sitting in a chair. I'll keep you posted Deb

Its good to hear from you and even better that Jason is doing so well. That is awesome that the operation only took 45 minutes. They told me mine would be 2.5 hours! Can't wait to hear about his progress! Your twins are going to be so proud of their mom and dad! Michelle from Cedar Rapids

WOW! 45 min.? and already eating ice chips? He must be a super healer! lol I have sleep apnea too so I guess I get to look forward to that stay in ICU too. Please do keep us posted. He will be in our thoughts and prayers. It will be kind of interesting to hear about this from a male perspective too. Elizabeth
