Surgery Date Update

I'm finally done with all my pre-op testing. had my blood gasses done today and it took 2 people and 4 probing pokes to get the job done!! OW!!! Seems my arteries are buried deep and like to roll under the veins. I was all geared up for August 5 WLS but since I needed extra stress tests with a cardiologist they had to bump my surgery date up to August 12. The techs who did my stress test said my heart pictures looked good but of course that does not mean a thing until it is "blessed" and documented by the cardiologist and gets back to my surgeon. The timing was just not right. So I have one more week to worry through. Have to call my boss and have her rearrange the schedule AGAIN so I can work this coming week instead of have it off. Yuck! I was looking forward to being off. Well, the good side is my period will be over by surgery time and it will give me more time to clean up the house. Just needed to unload to you guys. Michelle

August 12th is not too far away, and it will give you that extra time to get things in order for when you come home from the hospital. At least you are thinking about the positives withyour date moving back a bit... I will be thinking of you and hoping that time FLYS by!! Take care hon! ~Julie

So August 12th! Are you have surgery at Mercy or Lukes? I have been very interested in how things are going for everyone. Do you have an Angel to keep us informed. I am always excited and concerned when one for us goes in for the big change. Who is your surgeon? Good luck.... Lisa J
