Well, Yesterday I spent the entire day at the U of Iowa doing my pre-op testing. I was real surprised. I only had to have Ultrasound, Bone density scan, and blood work. Now I am waiting for my insurance to be approved. I meet with the Doctor on Aug 21 and I am schduled for surgery on Sept 2. I am the second case that day. Which I was alittle concerned. I wouldn't be going to surgery until 2:30pm. Craziness......I just wonder why this has to be a long process?

Congrats on getting through your pre-op testing done! I know it is a long process, but worth it in the end. I first got my paperwork in January and had my surgery in July of last year. It felt like forever but the time does pass fast. Keep us updated and I will keep you in my thoughts. Just think, by Christmas you will be buying clothes that YOU want to wear, not just whatever fits! Congratulations! ~Julie
