Anyone going to Mayo?

This is my first time to post at this site - I have surgery scheduled at Rochester for August 26th. What a lot to go through - but I'm sure it will all be worth it down the road! I would love to hear from others who have gone to Mayo.

Hi Kathy, that where I'm having mine done and I agree alot of hoops to jump thru but I think in the long run will be glad that they made jump thru them. I have alot of confidence in my surgeon and her support people. My date has been moved up a couple of days to Sept 16th wi**** would have been Aug 16th but no way. Take care and welcome to the board you only have a few wks left until your on the other side. me it seems like an eternity ......Bye Sheila

Welcome to the board Kathy! I was very interested in having the duodenal switch but opted to stay closer to home and have the RNY. Good luck with everything, make sure you post any questions that you have and updates, too!! ~Julie
