Nervous "Nellie"

I am getting closer and closer to having my surgery and the close it gets the more nerous I am getting. I know everything will go smoothly, but I guess it is just nature playing w/me. I am a 29 y/o female, happily married for 9 years and counting, I currently weigh in at 392 lbs. I am scheduled to have my Open RNY w/Dr.AC in Des Moines @ Mercy Main Campus, on August 25 @ Noon. My husband has been sooooo supportive, I just have no words. If he isn't back to work by the time I am scheduled to have my surgery then we will have to postpone it and go the all the rigamoroo of the insurance pre-approval and get another surgery date....:"( So please PRAY that my husband can find another job soon!!!! Hi Stacey, I totally understand getting nervous, my surgery is this coming Monday, July 28, I have had two extremely busy weeks at work so have not had alot of time to focus on it which has helped the nerves a little bit, but today it really began sinking in and I am starting to get edgy. I will be praying that your husband finds another job soon so you don't have to postpone. Keep us all informed. Best wished to you. Gloria

Stacey, I'm just new to this message board but it has been interesting reading what others are saying. Nervous.... I can sure imagine why. This is a MAJOR life change for all of us considering weight loss surjery. I think everyone that has every considered it must feel the same. My biggest worry is that I won't be able to stick with the diet as I haven't had success in the past with any diet long term.....but then again, I guess that's why we are looking into the surjery. I will be praying for you. It sounds like you have a good husband and lots of support. I know that it helps to have all the support we can get. Susie

My hubby finally found a job!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! So surgery is going to happen as scheduled!!!!
