Dawn, I am too am a tummy sleeper. I had female surgery 2 weeks ago and couldn't sleep on my tummy either. Try getting a body pillow ( you know the long ones). I took one and could wrap my legs around it and sleep on my side kind of turned a bit on my tummy. It really did help. I have a back massager that we bought at WalMart for 30 bucks that works wonders for a stiff back. You don't have to lay on your back to use it. If you can use the body pillow and roll a little onto your tummy with thte pillow under it then someone could use this on your back.Hope you get some good sleep soon hon. ~~~Amy

I had an incredibly hard time with this as well, by 2 weeks post-op (with a open incision) I was back to on my tummy for an hour or so at a time. but, what I had to do, with the pain, was sleep on my side, and keep a pillow pressed to my belly, and I usually ended up sorta on my belly anyhow. that was one of the hardest things of post-op!
