Hello folks. I just wanted to give a brief update. It has been a joyous ride. I had my surgery on 02/24/03. I have lost 92 lbs. in 4 1/2 months. This weight loss has helped me get back connected to long lost friends, made my self esteem brighter and made me a much happier person. I have trouble getting in all of my protein but I'm not going to give up.
I have started water aerobics two months ago and I really enjoy it, AFTER I get in the water...lol I want to start a walking trail in the evenings, but my husband works nites and I dont like to go alone. Im just gonna jump in and do it. This lifestyle is the hardest thing I ever had to do, but worth every second.
The only regret is that I wasnt able to do the surgery sooner. I used to turn down invitations to do things with friends and basically went home on Fridays after work and didnt come out of the house until Mondays. I cant believe the transformation, the only problem is that my wheels are always spinning and it makes me sad to think of how much time, how much life I wasted being miserable.
I cant wait to meet the REAL ME! I want to thank everyone so much for the support, you have all been wonderful. On the day of my surgery, I gave all my well wishes to my mother to read... she cried the whole time I was in surgery and she was extremely impressed at the support that I had outside of my immediate family. You are all wonderful. God Bless...until I update again!

Hi Angie, My surgery is Sept 2 at the U Of Iowa. Where did you have yours? I am in Cedar Rapids too. I do water aerobics at the Marion YMCA and love it.
I am glad your life has changed for the better. Maybe I will be wrong but I don't see myself changing other than the weight. But I have tryed to not let the weight both me. I have always been the fat girl who it didn't realize it untill someone eles said something. But I really happy things are going well for you. Hope you return to the board more often. We all would love to have you here and to learn for you. Thanks for posting. Lisa Jordan
