New in Here
Hi there, I am new here. DUH, lol. Anyhow, I had surgery nearly 2 months ago, on 5/15 with Dr. Eibes in Grinnell. I could talk about my surgery, but it is somewhat similiar to what all the other ppl on here have said. I am down about 50+ lbs right now, and it is coming off very well. Even better now that I am back to work full time on the floor (nursing home) Busy busy busy!
I have only been reading through the posts for about 2 weeks now, but I feel like I know a lot of you already. I wish I could come to some of the support meetings, but I think they are just too far from where I am Anyhow, thank you so much for this site, and I am going to enjoy being a part of it

Welcome to our board Judi!! Well even if your surgery is similar to alot of other peoples, everyones opinion counts for us pre-ops who have so many questions You could tell us this: Did you have your sugery Open or Lap, did you have any complications, how long were you in the hospital, how long were you off work? Haha. ~Kelly Welcome again!!!
Hi Judi, glad to get to meet you. I'm actually pretty close to you, in Kensett. I'd love to go to a support group meeting to but I don't know of anything anywhere near us.
Hope to see more posts from you and feel free to email me anytime. It would be nice to have somebody close buy to talk to. Congrats on your weight loss by the way sounds like you're doing great!
Welcome Judi, Don't feel shy about talking or asking anything, the people here are really great and you already having the surgery can sure give us that haven't yet a heads up on what to expect. Your weight loss sounds so fabulous, I can't even imagine what 50 lbs. lighter would feel like. You must feel like a whole new person already. Anyway, welcome.
