Good Morning Everyone, Hope all is doing well, I am doing good today, however I have a few questions, Like how long should I wait after open RNY (6-17-03) to have sex? were can I get a good idea about what my diet should consist of? I have been eating soft food mostly, but I have also ate regular foods, chewed very very well and how no problems, I am loosing weight, not excessively fast, but fairly well, however, I just am not sure what I should eat exactly. Any help, recipes, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all, have a wonderful day!

My doctor said to wait 2-3 weeks for intercourse, until you feel comfortable with extra weight on top of you. Well, we waited about 2 weeks and just figured out some inventive positions so he wasn't directly on top of me! As far as foods, I would talk to the dietician that your surgeon recommends. I ate regular food when I left the hospital, like turkey, chicken and pork chops, tuna and ham... I just chewed thoroughly. I also ate green beans, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes, cottage cheese, yogurt (there is one made with splenda, I think by A&E). I stayed away from things with aspartame in it per directions of my dietician. Malt-o-meal was also a good breakfast food. My first meal from a fast food place was a kids meal from KFC, a chicken leg which I pulled the skin off of first, applesauce and mashed potatoes.. strangely it made me feel better knowing that I could eat something from a restaurant and like I was not going to be stuck eating bland food from home for the rest of my life. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!! Congrats and good luck!!!! ~Julie
