Thanks to you all for the support!!!! Look, I updated!!

Hello out there to all of my wonderful Iowa friends!, It's been a few weeks since I have been able to update and I just wanted to say thanks for all your support and let you all know that I am doing great! I had my surgery on the 17th of June as scheduled, I was released from the hospital on the 20th, staples removed on the 24th, and as of today I am down 30 lbs. I know, doesn't seem like a whole lot of a loss, but I am tickled pink about it . My biggest problem so far has been finding food I can eat. LOL, but I'm learning something new everyday! Surgery was not at all what I had expected, but now two weeks later I have lost at least some weight, I have quit smoking, which I wasn't sure I could do, and I gave up on the soda pop, which I really miss, but I made it and thats what matters most to me. I want you all to know how very much I appreciate all the well wishes and support, eventually I will answer each and every post individually, but for know this will have to do as my internet is not working because my phone got disconnected as did my cable, so you can all imagine how frustrating that is! But do not dispair, I will be getting them back on soon and will be posting as regular as I can again, I miss posting and chatting so much, it sure would help in these early stages of my recovery if I could post daily like in the past, but soon enough, until then I will just be patient and confident that all of you, my wonderful friends will be here for me. Oh Congratulations girl!!!!!!!! I am so very happy for you. Major kuddos to you for quitting smoking and giving up the pop! I've never smoked, but let me tell you soda is my worst enemy! Believe me when I know how hard it is to give it up, I think I've "quit" a million times! And congrats on your weight loss. 30 pounds is definately a "huge" loss to me. Just think before surgery how impossible it was to lose even a couple of pounds. And now 30 pounds gone in just under a few weeks, that's so great!! Good luck on your recovery hope everything keeps going well for you. Keep up the work, we're pulling for you!

30 lbs, that is great. Who did your surgery? Have you checked into the yahoogroups Iowa Nebraska page, I believe there are people from your area that get together.
